Training objectives :
This Academic License, in the field of toxicology, aims to train students who have a perfect command of the new methods and techniques of toxicology and various ecotoxicology. Microbiology
Training context:
Access to this License is granted to students admitted to the 2nd year of the biological sciences sector approved at the University of Jijel or other national universities. The Microbiology license offered is motivated by the importance of this subject and its multidisciplinary nature which encompasses many fields (fundamental, medical, environment, industrial, agronomic, etc.). This training will thus cover the various fundamental and applied aspects of microbiology in order to enable the student to meet the needs of the various sectors of the national economy. This training will also allow students to integrate the industrial sector specializing in microbial biotechnology and microbiological analysis. Food Technology and Quality Control
Training context:
Access to this License is granted to students admitted to the 2nd year of the Food Science Category at the University of Jijel or other national universities
Training objectives :
The teaching objectives of the agro-food technology and quality control courses are geared towards the knowledge, analysis and control of products and the management of health risks. Emphasis is placed on the health benefits of food, with in-depth study of the biochemical and microbiological composition of food. The senior staff trained in this way will have a comprehensive knowledge of foodstuffs, their health quality and safety potential, as well as the current regulatory framework, without which no quality certification or new product development is possible. The Department of Earth and Universe Sciences currently trains geologists on one level: License in geology, specialties of applied geology The License in Applied Geology is an undergraduate training program that aims to provide students with a solid foundation in the field of geology and its practical applications. This program enables students to develop technical and scientific skills needed to work in areas such as mineral exploration, engineering geology, natural resource management, environment, geotechnics, geophysics, petroleum geology, etc. The training is based on a common base in geology, applied geology (geotechnics, hydrogeology and mineral resources) and transverse skills (mathematics, geophysics, computer science, etc).

Ecology and Environment

The field of Fundamental and Applied Toxicology is a multidisciplinary training course that studies the harmful effects of these chemicals on living organisms and their environment. The diploma has a sound scientific knowledge of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of action of environmental pollutants and their physicochemical consequences on the exposure modalities according to the environments considered and good foundations in epidemiology and environmental health risk assessment.
The field of basic and applied toxicology has many outlets such as basic, biotechnological and clinical research laboratories, quality control, environmental control, occupational safety and health services, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical and agri-food industries, design offices specializing in the field of chemical regulation, occupational safety and prevention of occupational risks.

The Master of Toxicology addresses a lack of researchers specialized in the field of human health and the environment. The management and assessment of risks to man and his environment have now become major issues for societies. The development of knowledge about the alterations of the biological systems of the molecule to the functioning of ecosystems is necessary to achieve these societal objectives.
One of the main objectives of training is to assess the toxic risks to man through his environment. Knowledge of the mechanisms of toxicity of chemicals and their degradation products helps to prevent pollution problems and their consequences on ecosystems.
Applied Microbiology
Context of the training :
Students holding a license in "Microbiology", Agrifood Technology and Quality Control approved at the University of Jijel or other national universities. Students holding other Licenses in the SNV domain of all sectors after study of the file by the teaching team.
Training aims :
The Master offered by our group within the framework of the L.M.D. meets the requirements of practical research in microbiology by providing an opening on applications in the health, environmental and industrial sectors. The major objective of this program is to provide the student with extensive and multidisciplinary training in the field of applied microbiology.
The key of the program is industrial microbiology; the student learns to use microbes (bacteria, fungi, algae, viruses, cells, proteins, etc.), their products (enzymes, antibiotics, etc.), and their ability to transform and degrade certain substances with the aim of extracting useful compounds from them or cleaning up the environment. The student will be able to deepen his knowledge of microbiology, methods of production and separation of fermentation products, experimental analysis methods as well as microbial genetics and gene cloning. He will be able to further deepen his knowledge in the biosynthesis of natural products and give himself an orientation in food microbiology and/or in environmental microbiology.

Mineral Resources Geomaterials and Environment
Training aims :
Our Master's program "Mineral Resources, Geomaterials, and Environment is part of the Department of Earth and Universe Sciences' strategy to expand and diversify its academic training offerings at the University of Jijel. It serves as a natural progression from the undergraduate program in Earth and Universe Sciences (Geosciences) that has been offered for several years at the University. Admission to the «MRGE» Master's program is open to students who have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in Applied Geology (6 semesters).
The areas of expertise targeted by our « MRGE » Master's program are as follows:
• Exploration of mineral resources and geomaterials.
• Identification of resources and reserves.
• Techniques for the exploitation of these resources
• Economics of mineral resources and development strategies.
• Expertise in the site selection for extractive industries within the framework of sustainable development.
The University of Jijel has signed several agreements with research centers and other socio-economic partners such as the Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics (C.R.A.A.G) in Algiers and the Mining and Phosphate Company (SOMIPHOS SPA) in Tébessa.

Engineering geology and geotechnics is the set of activities related to the applications of soil mechanics, rock mechanics and engineering geology. It includes the study of the mechanical and physico-chemical properties of soils.
Training designed to prepare you to meet important challenges in the field of geotechnics and infrastructure from a technical point of view, including mastery of soil studies, slope stability and foundation calculations.
